Pottery

A 2-day workshop for all levels (beginners, intermediate and advance) to learn new techniques and work and shape clay by hands to create items of interest with our own experienced instructor (please see the bio).

On the first day of the 2-day workshop, you will learn how to create and design your object (not pottery wheel) by hand. The duration between the two sessions, the object cures and will be ready for glazing.

On the 2nd session, you will decide on the actual color, pattern and design of the glaze so the item can be ready for firing. The firing process is done away from the center. You may stop by during the following workshop dates and pick up you art pieces.

All supplies and firing costs are included.

Members: $40 per person
Non-Members: $45 per person

Angelika Selman-Bondar received her Batchelor of Fine Arts Degree form Augusta University with a minor in education, German Studies and the Sciences. Her career path lead to teaching visual arts and the German language in public school systems. During her teaching career she has continued art studies at the Atlanta College of Art, Savannah College of Art and Design, the High Museum, the Morris Museum and various art workshops. Angelika has been an art teacher for over thirty-five years in Georgia and also creates art works that have been exhibited in the southeast with many pieces in private collections across the USA and in Europe. She has received many awards form juried exhibits for her art, as well as art teaching.

She is a member of the Artists Guild of Columbia County, Clay Artists of the Southeast, North Augusta Artist Guild, Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, the Morris Museum, Harlem Arts Council, Georgia Art Educators Association and Ceramic Arts Network.
